Critter Farm

The Critter Barn came to visit the center and brought many animals.  We saw and held baby chicks and baby ducks.  We saw a Momma rabbit and her two week old babies.  There were ducks and bunnies in a pen we could walk right in and pet.  There were five goats we were able to pet and feed.  There was a big rooster with a loud crow, and several smaller chickens we were able to hold.  We learned about how ducks keep water from getting them wet by putting oil on their feathers.  We also learned that the most important reason ducks put their heads underwater is not to catch food, but to wash their eyes.  We enjoyed our time with all of the critters and learned many interesting facts, too.
